Gina Tricot increases employee engagement with Eletive

Gina Tricot is a Swedish fashion chain known for offering trendy clothing to women in over 30 countries. With around 180 stores across five European countries and a robust online presence throughout Europe, the company employs approximately 1,500 people.

Like many retail businesses, Gina Tricot encounters unique challenges in maintaining high levels of employee engagement. With a large portion of the workforce employed either part-time or on seasonal contracts, Gina Tricot needed a flexible and adaptive employee engagement solution that could cater to the diverse needs of their organisation.

We spoke with Martina Svensson, HR Manager at Gina Tricot, to understand how Eletive has supported them in addressing these challenges.

Employee surveys adapted to diverse needs

When looking for an employee engagement tool, one of the most important things for Gina Tricot was flexibility.

Martina shares, "Our employees are spread across different functions, with many working in our stores. Their engagement needs vary, so we needed a solution where we could adapt both the frequency and content of our surveys to fit these differences."

Eletive offers complete flexibility, allowing HR to send surveys at different times, with different content, and in different languages to different parts of the organisation.

With Eletive, we can send out surveys bi-weekly to our HQ and monthly to our warehouses and stores.

“With Eletive, we can send out surveys bi-weekly to our HQ and monthly to our warehouses and stores. This flexibility allows us to tailor our approach and keep a regular pulse on how our employees are feeling,” she explains.

Reaching everyone, everywhere

A common challenge in retail is ensuring that all employees, even those without regular access to work emails or phones, can participate in the surveys. This was an important requirement when Gina Tricot chose to work with Eletive.

“Many of our employees don’t have access to work emails or phones, but with Eletive’s KIOSK solution, QR codes, and the mobile app, it’s easy for everyone to access the surveys,” Martina notes.

“Eletive makes it easy to manage employee data and ensure everyone gets surveys, even when many of our employees work irregular hours or have seasonal contracts.”

A partnership for success

Martina has been very happy with the support she has received from Eletive’s customer success team, both through the onboarding and implementation stages.

“We’ve received great support from Eletive’s customer success team, who have provided communication plans and best practices to help us get buy-in from the organisation,” she says.

Driving positive change through employee engagement

The impact of Eletive at Gina Tricot is clearly measurable, and the better the adoption, the better the results.

We can see that the units with high adoption rates and that actively work with the Eletive platform also experience positive development in engagement levels.

“We can see that the units with high adoption rates and that actively work with the Eletive platform also experience positive development in engagement levels. The results in Eletive become catalysts for important discussions, bringing to light topics that may have remained unnoticed without the anonymity of the surveys.”

Martina adds that this is especially important in industries where there is an element of seasonality that impacts the employee experience.

“In retail, the employee experience can vary greatly—what happens during Black Friday, for instance, can be very different from a random weekend in February. Measuring regularly is crucial; with yearly surveys, you miss these nuances and important insights.”

A continuous commitment to employee experience

When asked what she finds most valuable about Eletive, Martina says it’s how the regular surveys keep employee engagement top of mind for everyone.

“The best thing about Eletive is that it constantly reminds the organisation that it’s important to work on the employee experience all the time, all year round—not just once a year.”

With Eletive, Gina Tricot continues to evolve and enhance its employee engagement efforts, ensuring that every voice is heard, and every opportunity for improvement is seized.

"Many of our employees don't have access to work emails or phones, but with Eletive's KIOSK solution, QR codes, and the mobile app, it's easy for everyone to access the surveys."
